SUMMARY:
Deputies of the Victorville Police Station have responded to calls on both May 25, 2010 and June 16, 2010 of elderly persons that were assaulted and robbed as they returned home from shopping in the afternoon hours. On both occasions the victims had just returned home from grocery shopping. The shopping locations were different, but the robberies were similar.
In both cases the victims returned home, parked their vehicle and as they exited their vehicle the suspect suddenly appeared demanding their purses and/or wallets. One victim fought to hold onto her purse and was assaulted by the suspect.

When possible, take extra precautions such as closing your garage door before exiting your vehicle. If you see suspicious persons or suspicious activities please call police and relay as much information as you're able to obtain without putting yourself in harms way, such as physical description, vehicle description and direction of travel.
