SUSPECT: TODD BANKS, AGE 18 OF VICTORVILLE
ERIC CLINKSCALE, AGE 19 OF VICTORVILLE
RAYMOND STOKER, AGE 19 OF VICTORVILLE
SUMMARY:
On Monday, April 26th, 2010, at approximately 1:37 p.m., deputies of the Victorville Police Station were dispatched to a report of a possible residential burglary in progress. The reporting party stated that three suspects were going in through the back window of a neighboring home and taking property out in plastic trash bags. Before deputies arrived, the reporting party relayed to dispatch the suspects had now jumped a fence onto Pluto.
Deputies Mark James and Paul Gallant arrived at the home on Black Hills Rd and went around to the back of the home where they found a broken out window and an open sliding glass window. Inside the residence deputies found a very elaborate marijuana grow of easily over 1000 plants. Deputies then found footprints through the backyard leading up to the fence where the reporting party saw them jump over and onto Pluto. The suspects were tracked by shoe prints and marijuana leaves leading to a resident in the 12000 block of Pluto.
As deputies arrived at the suspect's residence, one suspect attempted to flee over the fence to a neighboring home, but was apprehended without incident. A consent search of the premises revealed bags of marijuana plants and shoes stashed in the trashcan outside.
All three suspects were arrested and booked at Victor Valley Jail on charges of PC459-burglary and PC496-possesion of stolen property.
San Bernardino County Sheriff's Narcotics Team was called out to investigate the marijuana grow. There is not yet an assessed dollar value for the plants, their investigation is ongoing. Southern California Edison is on scene to evaluate the electrical bypass the persons responsible for the marijuana grow had in place.
