Mission Statement

V.V.O.R.C.A. is a network of retail stores in the Victor Valley dedicated to combating retail theft, embezzlement, burglaries, and other related crimes that are prevalent in our community of retail stores. The mission of V.V.O.R.C.A. is to provide a network of intelligence, training, and support for the various members of our commercial business community with the purpose of decreasing financial loss and crimes committed against the businesses.

We expect a high degree of integrity from the members of our network.  A working relationship with the Victorville Police Department requires that our members deal with any and all deputies openly and honestly.

• We expect that our loss prevention and security members will respect the law and maintain a private life that is in accordance with the law and free of negative law enforcement contacts.
• Negative contacts with any law enforcement agency degrade the relationship between you and the trusted members of this loss prevention community.
• Should we become aware of negative law enforcement contacts of members in this network we will quickly work to alienate you from the network so as to maintain the high level of integrity of the network.
• Often times your involvement in criminal cases will land you in court.  You are expected to show up to court for the cases you generate.  If this makes you uncomfortable then get out of loss prevention!
• Professionalism.  Do your job like a professional.  You will find that your demeanor will often dictate the amount of compliance or resistance you receive from criminals.
• A pro knows that their demeanor in handling the suspect will become an issue in court if it is less than professional.
• A pro in this business does not take it personal.  Pros do not agitate the suspect unnecessarily.  Doing this increases the chances of the suspect becoming non-compliant with you and the arresting deputies.
